Nine...

My daughter truly amazing me. She is something else. I've always heard children hear and comprehend more than we realize and today she let me know just how true that statement is and in a funny way.

Both me and Mark have been hit pretty hard this week with some sinus/allergy related illness. The dreaded sore throat , headache, etc... We told her we were sick so this morning she told me she was sick too.

Here's how our conversation went....

I ick mama

You are.... what's wrong?

Head urt

It does...

es

Well how bad is it on a scale of 1-10

I couldnt help but laugh. She didnt even pause before telling me ...nine. I never thought she would answer me. I assumed she would be confused and would give me that puzzled look she sometimes gives me. I would then explain that she really wasnt sick enough to miss daycare and then convince her she was good to go and needed to finish getting ready. Well she blew that clear away...

Fun times, 3rd set of tubes, & back to the doctor...

Sorry I have not been able to blog much lately. We have been very busy and my computer has been giving me fits. When I've had time to blog, it has decided it doesnt want to work. Oh well it gave me more time to spend with my family.

My dad celebrated his birthday this month and it was a great day... Love you dad.

Thanks Aunt Jody for the present even if it was dad's birthday and not Reeses. She loves all the neat gift you find for her.

Reese loves showing everyone how much she's grown and telling everyone, " I'm big "

We have enjoyed each beautiful day these last few weeks. Cause you never know when it's going to be cold or rainy again.

Reese had spring picture day at daycare this Wednesday...cheese...

Reese loves to help daddy cook Saturday morning breakfast. I wish I looked that pretty right out of bed. She's my sweet baby girl.

She loves to monkey around too. I dont have any trouble explaining Reese's nickname, monkey. She is just joy and happiness in a small package.

Here's my baby getting ready for set # 3 of ear tubes. I dont think I will every get use to seeing my baby go off to surgery.

I'm praying this is the last set of tube we are going to need. Bless my baby Lord with healing.

It only took 3 popiscles to make everything ok.

By that afternoon, she was feeling no pain. We played and played. We had to play dress up, and we even baked our first pound cake together, and then...

Reese and her daddy had to roast a few marshmellows.

...And then two day after her ear tube surgery, she started breaking out with a rash on her nose.

It started sometime Wednesday. (thankfully after pictures... ) I picked her up from daycare and thought it was just a little heat breaking out on her nose but by Thursday it was a bigger patch and it had started on the other side of her nose also. I started putting some rash creams and Caladryl Clear but by Friday night it had got much worse so we were up at the crack of dawn and off to the walk in clinic at her pediatrician's office this morning, Saturday morning, to wait to see a doctor.

Check it out.... it's pretty ugly and painful looking..

The doctor's verdict..... an allergic reaction to the gas mask they used to put her to sleep for the ear tube surgery. Who would have thought it. I never would have. This is her fourth operation and she's never had a reaction like this but boy is it a good one. Please pray with us that the medicine works extra fast.
