Mother's Day

This year was an awesome Mother's day. My third one.....

My little monkey gave me two cards, one from her and her daddy and the other one she made in Sunday School.

I'm loving the homemade one the most where she hand wrote " I love momma, Reese" She's such a sweetie. She told me I was the best mommy ever ever ever.... I dont know about that but I do know I'm very blessed to had such a precious daughter.

I love you Reese very very very much.

( I was only able to get one picture at Muffins for Mom at preschool last week ) I've just got to learn how to use my camera....

On the stage....

My baby girl was in a local beauty pagent this weekend. I know... who would ever let their child be in one of these? Not me... well at least not again.

Our local schools are in need of lots of fundraising. The economy and other factors have really hurt our  school system. This was one of their latest ideas. (I hope it raised a lot because our kids deserve it ) My sister in law works for the high school and ask us if Reese might want to be in it with her daughter. Reese was all for it.

And you know what.... she loved it. I mean she really loved it. She kept telling me...mama I want to go back on stage. I dont know what's in our future but me & Mark have decided we are going to have to find another avenue to channel our baby girl's desires for the stage. Any suggestions???

She was so beautiful and so brave. I was in awe. The first time she went toward the stage she stopped and asked me to walk behind her but the next time she had to go out... she told me not to come with her. She walked proudly and gracefully right onto that stage with her head high and back straight. Once she got up there, she didnt want to leave. I had to motion her off.

Every day she shows me have brave and special she is and every day I thank the Lord for blessing us with such a gift.

A new look...

Yea... our new blog look is up. I still have some tweaking to do but I'm excited to see it up and running. It looks fabulous... thank you so much Rita. She was super to work with and has been so patience and kind to me. I'm discovering I dont know enough about blogging but I'm determined to learn.

I wanted a new look to begin Reese's blog life book. I have found I cant blog and do a ditgal lifebook too. I just dont have enough time. I'm going to print this out at the end of each year for her.

Stay tune as I go back and play catch up with Reese's life over the last couple of months.

Snow White...

I am amazed each day by my baby girl. She is growing up so fast and healing so wonderfully... Fairy tales have become one of her favorite stories to read and playing princess is one of her favorite games.

She was so cute last night pretending to be Snow White. Every two minutes she would dramatically fall to the floor and pretend she was asleep until the kiss of true love awaken her. Mommy had to fall asleep and then be awaken too of course. It was lots of fun ( for the first couple of times but not the thirty or more times she did it.. )

We had to move this little princess onto another game and fast.

It is so awesome to see her pretend and play. God has really been healing this little girls heart. Thank you Lord for this precious gift....

I know...

...I know it's been a while since I posted last... about a month but Reese had that surgery I mentioned a couple of months ago.

And boy was it a dozzie. She was completely down and out for two weeks and in a lot of pain. There were a couple of days right in the beginning, I wondered if she would ever forgive me for putting her through this. She was so angry and then so sad. It just about broke my heart. But through us loving her and holding her, she finally started to trust us again.

Now four weeks later, you would never know it happen. She's back. She's just amazing and God is go good. He really touched her through this whole recovery. It will be a while before we know if this surgery will help her with her speech, but we are trusting the Lord and just know she's going to be saying things she was never able to before.

During this season of giving... I cant help but stop and thank God , for the gift of Jesus and for the gift of my family... and my daughter Reese.

She is truly so special and I'm blessed to be her mother. She told me yesterday in between a doctor visit and speech therapy, " mom I really, really really, really loved you; you're my best friend and my buddy." She's told me many time she loves me but this was the first time she told me I was her best friend and buddy. It was just that little something I needed to know this last four weeks were behind us. It was so sweet and so true.

Reese, I am your mother, best friend, and buddy forever and always. I love you Reese. Merry Christmas...
