Pre K begins....

Today is the first day of pre k for our baby girl. I can't get over how big she looks and a little scared.

Ms Chris.. take super duper care of our baby girl today. She's very precious.

3 years ago today...

It's hard to believe 3 years ago today our dream came true.... we became parents. A dream that began in our hearts nine years before was finally a reality...

Thank you Lord for blessing us with a beautiful baby girl whose eyes were so big and so confused.

Those eyes... the eyes that filled with tears and cried so hard for several hours on adoption day. Those eyes that broke our hearts when we couldnt comfort her....

...Those same eyes still cry today so easily when her feelings are hurt... but those eyes are now filled with so much life and hope.

Those eyes.... they break my heart when their teary and make my heart burst when they are filled with joy.

We love you so much baby girl... happy Gotcha Day...

A little fun in the Sun

One amazing thing about my baby girl is the sheer joy she finds in everything. It doesn't matter if it's big or small, she enjoys everything to the fullest. This year's vacation was no exception.

 The deep end of the pool isn't scary at all. I've got my daddy

A ride on a huge Ferris Wheel... oh it's nothing. She would rather parasail or bungee jump. ( I've in trouble in a few years. Right now she's too small to do either ...thank you Lord )

The ocean was great.... especially with daddy

Digging for shells and playing in the sand was awesome

I love this stuff

A little snack by the pool with daddy was a great treat.

I love him a lot but he better stay away from my granola bar. I don't share.

The beach at sunset was awesome

Sandcastles in the sand

putt putt requires deep concentration

and so does flying an airplane

I love the beach

I only have one speed... fast

and faster

except when it's nap time

I know it's getting late, but I think I could do stay up all night.

Vacation 2012 was the best. I want to go back to the beach already.

Daddy's little helper....

There's nothing like a little work in the sunshine. Reese just loves to helps. It doesnt matter what we are doing, she loves to help. When daddy wanted to wash the car, she immediately spoke up..." can I help"

she's a great bumper washer.... no spot of dirt stands a chance

but the dirt and soap have got to go

dont mess with me mommy, I'm working

See daddy,  you missed a spot. Please watch me closer and I will teach you the right way to wash the car.  

I believe we have found the right teacher for daddy....way to go baby girl.

My Buddy...

It was a beautiful sunny spring evening here in the south ... perfect for a pool party ...but the water sure is cold...brrrrrrrrrrr

whether cold or hot my water baby is going in ...she loves the water

It was a cool evening but thanks for the wonderful time cousin J.... we had a great birthday party.

Mother's Day

This year was an awesome Mother's day. My third one.....


My little monkey gave me two cards, one from her and her daddy and the other one she made in Sunday School.


I'm loving the homemade one the most where she hand wrote " I love momma, Reese" She's such a sweetie. She told me I was the best mommy ever ever ever.... I dont know about that but I do know I'm very blessed to had such a precious daughter.

 I love you Reese very very very much.

( I was only able to get one picture at Muffins for Mom at preschool last week ) I've just got to learn how to use my camera....

On the stage....

My baby girl was in a local beauty pagent this weekend. I know... who would ever let their child be in one of these? Not me... well at least not again.

Our local schools are in need of lots of fundraising. The economy and other factors have really hurt our  school system. This was one of their latest ideas. (I hope it raised a lot because our kids deserve it ) My sister in law works for the high school and ask us if Reese might want to be in it with her daughter. Reese was all for it.

And you know what.... she loved it. I mean she really loved it. She kept telling me...mama I want to go back on stage. I dont know what's in our future but me & Mark have decided we are going to have to find another avenue to channel our baby girl's desires for the stage. Any suggestions???

She was so beautiful and so brave. I was in awe. The first time she went toward the stage she stopped and asked me to walk behind her but the next time she had to go out... she told me not to come with her. She walked proudly and gracefully right onto that stage with her head high and back straight. Once she got up there, she didnt want to leave. I had to motion her off.

Every day she shows me have brave and special she is and every day I thank the Lord for blessing us with such a gift.
